Description

Delicious and easy Air Fryer Bananas recipe that makes for a perfect healthy dessert or snack. Sweet, caramelized bananas with a hint of cinnamon, cooked to perfection in the air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 2 Bananas, see notes
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee or melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 390 F (200 C).
  2. Prepare the bananas: Peel the bananas and slice them lengthwise. Cut each banana into two.
  3. Mix cinnamon and sugar: In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon and brown sugar.
  4. Brush with ghee: Using a pastry brush, coat each banana slice with ghee or melted butter.
  5. Arrange in air fryer: Place a sheet of foil in the air fryer basket and transfer the banana slices onto it.
  6. Add cinnamon sugar: Sprinkle the cinnamon-brown sugar mixture over the banana slices.
  7. Air fry: Air fry at 390 F (200 C) for 7 minutes. No need to flip them during cooking. Adjust for additional time if using under-ripe bananas for caramelization.

Notes

  • Depending on the ripeness of the bananas, the texture and sweetness of the final dish will vary.
  • Use overripe bananas for softer, sweeter results and just-ripe bananas for firmer, slightly crisp results.
