Egg Mixture:
- 1 large egg
Breadcrumb Mixture:
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Additional:
- 8 whole milk (or low-fat) mozzarella sticks
Instructions
- Do the prep work: Line a rimmed baking sheet with wax paper. Lightly beat the egg in a wide, shallow bowl.
- Combine the Italian seasoning, salt, and breadcrumbs: In a second wide, shallow bowl.
- Coat and freeze the mozzarella sticks: Dip each mozzarella stick into the egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. Freeze for at least 30 minutes.
- Coat and freeze again: Repeat coating process and freeze for an additional 30 minutes.
- Air fry: Set air fryer to 390°F. Spray basket and mozzarella sticks, then air fry for 6-8 minutes.
- Serve: Let cool slightly and enjoy!
