Description

Enjoy these crispy Air Fryer Mozzarella Sticks that are perfect for snacking or as a crowd-pleasing appetizer. With a crunchy exterior and gooey melted cheese inside, they are sure to be a hit!


Ingredients

Egg Mixture:

  • 1 large egg

Breadcrumb Mixture:

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Additional:

  • 8 whole milk (or low-fat) mozzarella sticks

Instructions

  1. Do the prep work: Line a rimmed baking sheet with wax paper. Lightly beat the egg in a wide, shallow bowl.
  2. Combine the Italian seasoning, salt, and breadcrumbs: In a second wide, shallow bowl.
  3. Coat and freeze the mozzarella sticks: Dip each mozzarella stick into the egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. Freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Coat and freeze again: Repeat coating process and freeze for an additional 30 minutes.
  5. Air fry: Set air fryer to 390°F. Spray basket and mozzarella sticks, then air fry for 6-8 minutes.
  6. Serve: Let cool slightly and enjoy!
