Description

These Air Fryer Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are a delicious and spicy twist on classic chicken skewers. Tender chicken pieces are coated in a flavorful seasoning, air-fried to perfection, and served with a creamy and tangy bang bang sauce. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal or party appetizer.


Ingredients

Chicken Skewers:

  • 2 lbs. Chicken Breasts, skinless and boneless, cut into 1″ cubes
  • 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp. Paprika
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper
  • Mini Wood Skewers, soaked in water for 20-30 minutes

Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise (or Full Fat Greek Yogurt)
  • 3-4 tbsp. Sriracha
  • 2 tbsp. Honey
  • 1 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder or 2 Minced Garlic Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper

Garnish:

  • Parsley, for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Bang Bang Sauce: In a large bowl, combine mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, vinegar, garlic powder, 1/2 tsp. salt & black pepper. Whisk until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Season Chicken: In a separate bowl, toss chicken with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until coated.
  3. Skewer Chicken: Thread 3-4 chicken pieces onto soaked skewers. Place on air fryer rack.
  4. Coat with Sauce: Brush chicken with 1/3 cup of bang bang sauce. Reserve the rest for serving.
  5. Air Fry: Air fry at 400F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
  6. Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve warm with reserved bang bang sauce.

Notes

  • Make sure to soak the wooden skewers to prevent burning in the air fryer.
  • Adjust sriracha amount to control the spiciness of the sauce.
