Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the milk chocolate chips or melting wafers with 1 teaspoon of oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
- Prepare marshmallows: If using optional fillings, make a small cavity in each marshmallow by gently pushing with your finger or a small tool, then fill with your choice of peanut butter, caramel sauce, or Nutella.
- Insert sticks: Place a lollipop or craft stick into each marshmallow firmly so it holds well, making it easy to dip and eat.
- Dip marshmallows into chocolate: Holding the stick, dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Add toppings: Immediately after dipping, sprinkle chopped hazelnuts or sprinkles over the chocolate coating before it hardens to ensure they stick.
- Set the pops: Place the dipped marshmallow pops upright in a styrofoam block or on a parchment-lined tray to let the chocolate harden completely. Chill in the refrigerator for faster setting if desired.
- Serve and enjoy: Once the chocolate is set, your marshmallow pops are ready to be served as a fun, sweet treat.
