- 1 13 oz. pkg. refrigerated pizza dough
Easy Pizza Sauce
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
Toppings
- 1 cup freshly grated mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 32 pepperonis
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green peppers
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet: Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Roll out dough: Roll out pizza dough into a 12×16 inch rectangle on floured parchment paper.
- Make Pizza Sauce: Whisk together marinara sauce, onion powder, basil, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Spread 3/4 cup sauce over dough.
- Add toppings: Top sauce with mozzarella, pepperoni, green peppers, and Parmesan.
- Roll up dough: Roll dough tightly from the long side, then slice into 12 pieces.
- Bake: Place pinwheels on baking sheet, cut side up, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
- Serve: Let cool for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve with warmed pizza sauce.
- To Freeze: Allow baked pinwheels to cool, then store in a bag. To reheat, bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
