Description

These Pepperoni Pizza Pinwheels are a fun twist on traditional pizza, featuring all your favorite pizza flavors rolled up in a delicious bite-sized snack. Perfect for parties, game day, or a fun dinner option!

Dough

  • 1 13 oz. pkg. refrigerated pizza dough

Easy Pizza Sauce

  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper

Toppings

  • 1 cup freshly grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 32 pepperonis
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet: Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Roll out dough: Roll out pizza dough into a 12×16 inch rectangle on floured parchment paper.
  3. Make Pizza Sauce: Whisk together marinara sauce, onion powder, basil, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Spread 3/4 cup sauce over dough.
  4. Add toppings: Top sauce with mozzarella, pepperoni, green peppers, and Parmesan.
  5. Roll up dough: Roll dough tightly from the long side, then slice into 12 pieces.
  6. Bake: Place pinwheels on baking sheet, cut side up, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
  7. Serve: Let cool for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve with warmed pizza sauce.
  8. To Freeze: Allow baked pinwheels to cool, then store in a bag. To reheat, bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
