Description

Indulge in the delightful flavors of this Strawberry Tiramisu, a fruity twist on the classic Italian dessert. Layers of creamy mascarpone cheese, sweet strawberries, and soft ladyfingers soaked in a strawberry jam mixture create a luscious treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Mascarpone Filling:

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

For the Strawberry Jam Mixture:

  • 1/3 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup water (or prosecco)
  • 1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar (or lemon juice)

Additional Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sliced strawberries (1 pint)
  • 24 ladyfingers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mascarpone Filling: In a medium bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer or stand mixer on medium-high speed for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes until smooth and thickened.
  2. Assemble the Tiramisu: In a small bowl, combine strawberry jam, water, and balsamic vinegar. Dip the ladyfingers in the mixture and line them in a single layer in a baking dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers and layer with half of the sliced strawberries. Repeat with remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone, and strawberries.
  3. Chill: Cover the tiramisu with cling wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.

Notes

  • You can customize the sweetness by adjusting the amount of confectioners’ sugar used.
  • For a boozy version, substitute water with prosecco in the strawberry jam mixture.
